A solid expensive solution is indeed a Mac. On Windows it depends whether you have/buy a PC with Windows 10 or 11. When you use older hardware a safer and cheaper solution could also be Ubuntu Pro (10 years of updates). When you still have to buy a device and internet connection is good, a Chrome OS device is a very safe and affordable option. Last variable is your PC knowledge. So you need to further explain your situation to get a good advice.

What is the status of Smart Application Control on your laptop (open Windows Security and choose App and Browser control). On - Evaluation - OFF?
