It’s been over a full month since hacker collective ‘Lizard Squad’ rose to notoriety for taking down Sony's PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and other gaming servers, but above all else attracting the FBI’s attention for tweeting out a bomb threat to a Sony executive’s American Airlines flight, which grounded the plane and launched a nationwide hunt for the group.

Though the Lizard Squad failed to make many headlines after that, seeming to go largely dormant, they’ve returned the past two weekends to take down more online games with DDoS attacks, most notably Activision’s Destiny and Call of Duty: Ghosts, and EA’s FIFA, Madden and Sims 4. Sunday night in particular saw many of those games knocked offline periodically.

The Destiny issue has proved to be a significant headache for gamers in particular given the popularity of the game, and how it relies completely on live servers to do absolutely anything in the world, whether you’re part of a six man team trying to take down a raid boss, or simply wandering the countryside by yourself.
