Customers build a relationship based on trust with security vendors. After all, customers who buy security solutions like anti-virus or anti-spam grant security companies access to update computers and devices. Question is should security companies open their doors to people known to have dabbled in grey and black-hat hacking?

It's not a good idea to hire Black Hats since it could add a bad reputation to the security vendor. Better choice is to go and hire White Hats.

I don't think that they should because the Black Hats could do some bad damage. Plus like BoXX28 said they should be picking the White Hats.

In the first place, isn't it a bit of questionable for a security company to hire Hackers?

True, why are they hiring them in the first place? They might be hiring them so that they can see if their company is secure?

black hats are more efficient and has more connections to malwares creators and cyber-criminals than white hats. government hired all the times top notch hackers or offer them a deal if they were arrested, so why not security vendors, if they offers very good salaries and benefits.

remember than classic international companies hired hackers to execute industrial spying.

Black hats would never change on how perform bad hacking abilities so they may go to White Hats as hackers that focus in security.
