I started freelancing as a web designer, made a lot more money than I expected once I added Drupal and PHP as skills, and went on from there. I joined a retail company a few years ago and have helped modernize their systems where I can and secure their systems as well. I also work a lot on development of new software and maintain a lot of load-balanced servers as part of a team.If a student, what are your future career goals?I have a Bachelor&#039;s Degree in IT, but I don&#039;t recommend going the same route as me. Student debt ruins your life. Just don&#039;t do it. I&#039;m self-taught despite the degree. The degree will not get you a job. The degree will most likely do the opposite.</blockquote>
