HELP Should I set my network as PUBLIC?

Hello,
I have my Network firewall connection set as Public (Non-Discoverable) with file sharing off, I think it turns on by itself sometimes -_- should I set my Network firewall connection as Private with file sharing off? or is Public (non-discoverable) safer? Please keep in mind that I use my Home network and not a network at a Cafe public place. I just want to know the safest one available.

I play games if that makes a difference :)

No, you shouldn't! An expert told me the public is the safest, if you don't want to share anything with others.
So keep it in public, it's safer!

If you share files set it to private. If you don´t share anything public is the most safe option.

You can't connect to a network printer if you go public.
