Hello I am here out of frustration aggravation and what not. I have followed several tutorials turning off Superfetch etc changed my power saving settings to high power.... I have contacted microsoft they are of absolutely no help instead they are sell sell sell. Computer specs are as follows.

Windows 8.1
Manufacturer: Sager Midern Computers Inc.
Processor Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-4800mq Cpu 2,7GHz 2.70 GHz ( it lists the 2.70GHz twice so I did to..)
Ram: 12gb
System type: 64-bit Operating System x64 based processor
Attached is a pic of the disk allocations. Any advice I would appreciate it. I also used un allocated disk space and extended thinking that might be the problem :/

I recently had this problem. Might not help you though. My problem was caused by a dying power cable which in return wasn't supplying the power supply with enough power. Eventually the power supply itself died since it was trying to power everything with very limited power. The solution was replacing the power cable (I also had to buy a new power supply but that is only necessary if your PSU is dead).

Can't help on the software side without more details. It is also possible you have bad sectors on the disk which you should run a disk check which this page gives you the info you need to customize the scan. Run Check Disk from a Command Line to Check for and fix Disk Errors

Code:
chkdsk C: /f /r /x /b

This command (typed in cmd/command prompt) should do the trick. Should move data off of bad sectors and repair those sectors. The /b is optional. You can add all the options if you want. Won't hurt anything. It will take a while to scan the disk and longer if it finds anything.

If that doesn't help, you could always have an infect. In that case, I and other regular members can't help. You'd have to go to the malware removal section of the forum located here: Malware Removal Assistance

Note: The only time your partitions would cause slow downs is if you had your OS far back on the disk. Your OS is fine (it is in the front end). If you have SSD, it doesn't matter. This only applies to HDD.

Hi sorry I forgot to mention I have already done a disk check it is definitely not the power cord, that is in healthy condition. The check disk took around 3 1/2 hours

Welcome to MT :)
Thank you.

I am not sure what it is... I highly doubt its an infect I have completely wiped reinstalled updated all the way to 8.1 from 8 and it to me seems to happen sometime during the updates.

Have you tried Windows 10
Yes, its what made me become hyper aware of the situation. When I initially upgraded to 10 I could not even press two letters on the keyboard without the whole system freezing up and then after about 5 minutes ( with me trying to manually shut it down) it would then turn off on it's own.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Well suggest to conduct a test and check for possible errors like tool called Hard Disk Sentinel

Hardware undergone aging from time to time we use it, however you mentioned of possible infection which one of the reason why Disk usage takes 100% (although most case its within CPU usage to react)

Anyway welcome to the community! :)
