Hola VPN
I have a question. I used Hola VPN "or Hola Proxy" for maybe a few months, but I had it installed for maybe 2 years on Google Chrome (when I wasn't using Hola, I was using Opera Gx). Could someone hack into my network and gain access to other devices connected to it, such as a Wi-Fi camera? My IP is one for several users (e.g. for me and for the person living next to me) I will also add that when I once entered my IP address on the spamhaus website, it was written that it was on the "xbl blocklist" there was something else written but I don't remember. Please tell me if someone could break into my wifi camera or webcam

While Hola VPN has been criticized for its security practices, it's not very likely that someone could hack into your network and access your devices just because you were using it. However, it's always a good idea to secure your devices, change passwords regularly, and ensure your network is properly protected. As for your IP being on the Spamhaus XBL, this means it was detected as sending spam or being part of a botnet, which could be due to sharing your IP with others. It's not directly related to your camera or webcam being hacked.

No, they can't. The worst Hola! VPN can do is use you as a node for their service. Meaning, giving your IP to a stranger and allowing him to surf the web pretending to be you (extremely bad idea). User doesn't and can't get anywhere near your home network.

IP addresses are reusable. You don't own your IP address and they are actually rotated between users. If you see your IP address on some blocklist, it means someone spread spam from that address before, or was scamming people. Nothing to worry about. You'll might get asked to solve captcha more often and that's it.

If you have dynamic IP address (most likely), just restart the router and you'll get another IP address which, if you're lucky, won't be on a blocklist.

Hi thank you for reply but I got another question. If im switching IP's with another user, that means that he can do something with my device or devices connected to The wifi? for example installs malware or something else?
