I just recently upgraded to new versions and I'm still trying to get use to the changes. Version 3.2.73 was much easier to use for myself, however it is no longer on their website or download sites.

I uploaded the files from my system for users who still prefer the older version.

HostsMan allows you to easily add malware domains and advert sites to your Host file which blocks them from connecting. In a way works like secure DNS but much better.

It is helpful in many ways,
It speeds up webpage loading time, blocks redirects to malicious sites and ad-servers, blocks ads that commonly bypass browser adblockers, blocks ads on all web applications.

It is one of the best security tools available.

Hardening your host file using those database and blocked known malware, viruses, pop ups and others.

Does not conflict at any security software thus freely alongside.

Good point James, I forget to mention that it causes no compatibility issues with other security products. In case of a false positive or maybe you just want to allow a particular host, you can add it to HostsMan's exceptions. Some flash videos that have embedded ads might be blocked from loading from some of the host file block lists. You can add them to HostsMan's exceptions to allow them to play or just find another video without the ads. I don't recommend using more than two host file blocking lists because it can make your host file too aggressive. MVPS Hosts and Malware Domain Lists has the best blocking lists.

Another thing I forget to mention is that HostsMan also blocks trackers and spyware cookies. HostsMan protects your host file from changes made by malware.

It is my favorite security product because it uses no resources much like SpywareBlaster on steroids. HostsMan does not have to run in the background to do its job.

HostsServer displays custom message on the blocked websites in your browser and speeds up loading of webpages with a lot of blocked content. Yes I also use it in real-time. I'm using an older version of Hostsman (v.3.2.73) which includes HostsServer, I don't like the newer version which separates the two programs. I only use MVPS hosts block list because the rest are too aggressive blocking many safe sites.
Even with MVPS I sometimes have to add some exclusions. The best way to understand it is to install it and test it out.
