Come to think of it, I guess this would be the end of our best defense in the struggle against malware->that is o/c Brain.exe->or would it be the beginning!?

There is a very interesting discussion if an uploaded you would still be you. Particularly I'd say no. It would be a very good simulation with your memories and personality but still just a simulation. *You* die in your original body no matter how perfect a copy is made.

It's the same moral discussion about teleportation. Star Trek style teleportation, for instance is just a suicide machine that creates a copy of you in other point of space. The original you is still destroyed. They even made a point about it in the New Generation when Riker is copied by a glitch in the transporter.

The me who is typing this, if for some reason was to have his mind uploaded... The me who is typing this would no longer exist, but the copy who is created with exact detail's will go on living as if nothing has changed... Will the current me just cease existing or will my perception continue on with the copy. I can see this example going ok with a cut and paste function, but unsure of a copy to copy function.

Next test, what if a glitch, failure, or error happened during the brain transfer copy, how would that affect the new host?

That's why I believe *you* will die with your body. The copies, no matter how close to you they are, are still copies. Given enough time they will accumulate completely different experiences and will be another person entirely.

I read somewhere about AI being able to read and feel the emotions of humans , certain company allegedly takes them from deceased people, as if its not creepy enough. Seriously we started playing gods, and the development is no longer funny nor interesting.
