I use gmail. Is there any way to get notification/alart by SMS on my mobile whenever I recive new e-mail?

I've not tested this, but according to this article you can use Google Docs to send your SMS alerts for incoming email.

As I've said, I've not tested this so I can't comment on the scripts used in this method.
