i have many old file using. Rar and zip file with passworld protection...but i forget its passworld....friend can you help me how to hack passworld...

its not called hack its called cracking there are some app which do that but i think they take a lot of time to do so!

I've modified the title of this thread to be more descriptive of what the original posters intentions are. I've added the word "archives", to avoid people doing a web search to look for Winrar cracks, finding a thread on this forum.

2)WINRAR Password Recovery
3)ZIP Password recovery
4)Advanced Archive Password Recovery(All in one) but less feature in trail.
but they all takes many time.

all this software might work if the password is really weak and you have a good computer and time to crack it.
but its not going to work on strong passwords that are hard to guess.

I have tried many password cracks for archives, most are complete scams and others will not crack a strong password.

The best option is to open Notepad, write down the password and save the notepad txt to the same location of the archive. Also name it according to the archive's name because it will be easy to find.

Try resource hacker to see if you can sniff anything. Most probably it will be a no. Use HxD for hex editing.
ZIP Password recovery has worked for me but the password was a simple pass@123

I have installed the Hex Editor you mentioned.
So now can you help me more by indicating which string should i try to "view" that masks the .zip/.rar password?

This works but brute force or dictionary attack, while i want a way to read the password form the .zip/.rar file.

Hex Editing seems to be the best choise for it but i dont know which strings to look for to read the password as HEX Code.
