[QUOTE="Andy Ful, post: 934770, member: 32260"] There is nothing wrong with going back to Avast. The detection [B]Trojan:VBS/Mountsi.A!ml[/B] is related to AMSI-paired machine models. [S]It blocks some [COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)][B]dangerous code inside[/B][/COLOR] the VBS script without blocking the rest of the script. If you allow execution of this [B][COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)]dangerous[/COLOR][/B][COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)][B] code[/B][/COLOR] then it will be also allowed for other scripts (also for malicious scripts). I do not know the AV which could allow the [COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)][B]dangerous code[/B][/COLOR] for some selected scripts and would block it for the rest, except maybe the scripts specially whitelisted by the AV vendor. [/S] If you want to use Defender and this script, then you can try to modify the script to avoid AMSI detection. [B]Post Update.[/B] The final recommended solution: [URL unfurl="true"]https://malwaretips.com/threads/how-to-prevent-efficiently-defender-from-considering-a-given-vbs-script-as-containing-a-threat.107234/post-935576[/URL] [/QUOTE]
