What does a young Chinese hacker do once he’s achieved legendary status for developing Microsoft Office zero-day exploits and using them to hoover up piles of sensitive data from U.S. Defense Department contractors? Would you believe: Start an antivirus firm?

That appears to be what’s happened at Anvisoft, a Chinese antivirus startup that is being somewhat cagey about its origins and leadership. I stumbled across a discussion on the informative Malwarebytes user forum, in which forum regulars were scratching their heads over whether this was a legitimate antivirus vendor. Anvisoft had already been whitelisted by several other antivirus and security products (including Comodo), but the discussion thread on Malwarebytes about who was running this company was inconclusive, prompting me to dig deeper.

My Cisco firewall flags Anvisoft.com as a possible virus, malware, phishing site, although it does give off false positives on occasion.

I've never trusted Anvisoft products from the start and this makes sure I never will.

Yeah its true, Anvi can too sold his company by 8 $ to intel. :D

Then the guy will buy anal-inserted drugs, a orange ninja-suit, shout "my name is Naruto and i will be Hokage", kill his neighbor then hid in sands for 18h ^^

I never trusted them either, too many suspicions and the fact that all of their software are just clones of IObit and other software.

Thanks.:D

Hi,
Could you just wait a while? The CSB 2.0 version is under development and will be released soon. The language will be updated also. So could you help you translate version 2.0 instead of the current version?
Thanks a lot for your help.

I am sorry that the language file of Anvi AD Blocker is not extracted from the language. I am unable to send you the translation file.

I believe that the website had registered as wth rose just coincidence. I have never met the guys who named wth rose before. Maybe the boss know him and purchase the domain from the guy, but I am not sure.

I promise that Anvisoft is a regular anti-virus company and we strive to develop good program for Windows operating system. We will never do harm or spread malware.

Thanks for trusting us. We will work hard to improve our existing program and develop new programs.
We appreciate your suggestion.

Best wishes,
Ivy

Hi,
I suspect that somebody is trying to slander us. The message "Yes, it is true." is not from our official Facebook account.
I checked our official Facebook account, no such message existing here and the person who take care of the Facebook account confirmed that she has never post such message.

Sorry for any troubles and rumors.

By the way, thanks for your sample. I will send the request to the development team for developing the rogueware killer. :D

Best wishes,
Ivy
