In Windows 10 Home and Pro, you can disallow non-Store apps from running, making your system run more like Windows 10 S.

I guess they will try to market it like a Signature OS - which has no advantage whatsoever over a clean install of Windows.

On top of it they are pushing garbage apps via the Store - like Candy Crush and other games. I could find no mention that those garbage apps will not be installed by default on 10 S.

How about the alternative that people really want - an Windows 10 install without any Windows Apps ? No, can't do that...

They did that with Windows 7, but now XP is dead. You no longer need XP for apps to be fully compatible. It's the developers fault, not all on Microsoft, because they do provide certain backwards compatibility.

They do say they will be offering full-fledged Office apps via the Windows Store, special for Windows 10 S, so in theory, it will be somewhat business capable.
