A new report on cyber security States that approximately 1500 applications for Apple iOS would be affected by a bug that would make vulnerable the HTTPS protocol, and any malicious hackers could steal personal or sensitive data of their users.
The security bug was introduced with version 2.51 of AFNetwork, a popular computer Library developed to work in network used by Apple iOS and Mac OS X and its applications.
The vulnerability of the HTTPS would be resolved but last month (March 2015) when it was released a patch that updates the AFNetwork to version 2.5.2; Unfortunately many iOS apps developers have not transposed this new patch and many applications continue to use the earlier version that always dangerous security vulnerabilities.
