Is Kian Egan leaving Westlife or has he been Twitter hacked?

Kian Egan, a singer with the Irish boyband Westlife, has been forced to deny that he is leaving the chart-topping pop group after statements were posted on his Twitter account.

Egan had over 60,000 followers on Twitter, and the news would surely have plucked the heartstrings of his many young female fans:

Egan claims, however, that the tweets were posted by a hacker who compromised his @KianEganWL account, which has subsequently been suspended.

If you are a "true star" then you got to have your Twitter account hacked at least once ..... I've read like 20 articles on celebrities and hacked "Twitter accounts"... I wonder....Do these celebrities know the basics things about security?(like,never tell your password or use complex passwords)?.......how do they manage to get their accounts hacked!?

Simple, they give away their credentials.
You said it best yourself, your not a true star before your account has been hacked. The phrase "any publicity is good publicity" applies to this business more then any other.

iPanik do you think Kian Egan was really hacked or he was just,lets say ,not feeling to good when he posted those tweets?
I'm asking because usually hackers love to brag on their "achievements" or to capitalize financially from their "success".

If I was a celeb I'd surely make sure my myspace, facebook or twitter was hacked atleast once

I never knew who Kian Egan was until I saw this thread, gave himself publicity simple as that.
