Some national-scale educational assessments in my country are done using laptop/PC.

In our school, we have a 6-year old laptop running on Windows 10 that only has 2 GB of RAM & Celeron 2.4 GHz CPU. Its RAM usage is always more than 70% due to Antimalware Service Executable process running in it. This causes very noticeable slowdown.

Is there any reliable method to disable Antimalware Service Executable to freed more RAM?

We do not care about the security risk it poses because we will only use it for offline learning activity. In case we find malware infection or strange activity, we will reinstall the OS effortlessly because there is no important files in it.
We only use it for MS Office and exam browser.

You can try this tool, it is no longer updated, because it was abused by malware, but it might work.
But generally, install 3rd party AV, disable Defender's services, uninstall 3rd party AV. You could also use:

Unfortunately, disabling Antimalware Service Executable is not recommended as it provides crucial security features to your system. It is responsible for detecting and removing potentially harmful software and viruses that can harm your computer.

However, you can try some temporary workarounds to free up some RAM. You can try reducing the number of background processes and applications running by closing unnecessary programs and services. You can also try adjusting the Antimalware Service Executable settings to reduce its impact on system resources.

To do this, you can open the Windows Security app, click on Virus & threat protection, and then click on Manage settings. From there, you can turn off real-time protection or lower the protection level to a minimum.

It's important to note that this will leave your computer vulnerable to malware attacks, so it's recommended to only do this temporarily and make sure to re-enable the protection as soon as possible. Another long-term solution would be to upgrade your hardware, such as adding more RAM or a faster processor, to ensure smooth operation.
