Hi,
Lately I keep getting repeated warnings from my antivirus (Eset) claiming it identified a threat and removed it. The threat name is JS/adware.Revizer.B was found in a file on my computer named https://s3.amazonaws.com/jscache/16a168f0afda0c3c2.js. Another message claims a web address was blocked (see attached picrture) by the anti virus.
This happens with every browser window I open.
In addition clicking links in different windows often causes them to crash.
I read on the web that this is a complicated malware infection and have seen many suggestions for removal, some of which I tried but couldn't get any results.
Help would be greatey appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Leon

Hello,

FRST.gif
Fix with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

This fix was created for this user for use on that particular machine.

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

Dear TwinHeadedEagle,
Your help is greatly appreciated!!!
As far as I can see my computer is clear of the infection - no more popping up antivirus boxs or crashing browser windows.
As requested I am attaching the files produced by the fixlist and the following FRT scan.
As I wasn't sure how long it would take you to react to my call I repeated the general malware removal instructions posted by JACK in the tutorials and ran scans by malwarebites, hitmanpro, adwcleaner, and zemana. Non of them identified any malware and at least one of them did do something (deleted some files I think) but the problem kept going on. I guess this could explain some of the errors in the Fixlist report.
Any way, I apologize for being impatient and not waiting for your response.
Thanks again
Leon

That was premature. I have again the same antivirus message - see the attached picture of the blocked address message.
