Just rooted my phone. What to worry about?

So I just rooted my Galaxy A5 (2016) running Android Nougat. Fortunately everything went right and SuperSU is working OK.
So now, I guess there are security consequences. What do I should worry about concerning security on a rooted Android phone?
This is the first time Im using a rooted phone so please be as clear as possible.

Worry about the same things you worried about before rooting and you will be fine. Nothing to be paranoid about so just don't install application from random places.

Nothing more to worry about compared to a non-rooted device. Enjoy your root. Just make sure if you're gonna install applications on your device that are not in the play store that you download them from the application's official website.

Install an antivirus and don't download apps from out sources

Thanks. I have set SuperSU to deny by default root access for my apps, so that I get to allow them manually when I trust them.

You will be prompted if an app is requesting root access, and you will need to manually allow it. As long as you only allow root access to apps you trust, you have nothing to worry about.

first time u run a root enabled app supersu will popup a prompt asking you to allow or block it
if u block (or allow i guess too) anything by accident, go into supersu settings and it will show u a list of root apps that have requested root permission and what u chose (enable/block), there u can change things
there is also a timer counting down in the popup

inside supersu settings you can choose to re-ask you for root permission upon app updates, or choose to remember your choice for app updates.
also you can enable "fake pro mode" or whatever it says along those lines to try pro features...u technically dont have to pay but its nice to support the dev
