Does anyone know of a way to bind Kaspersky VPN to a specific network interface?

I have two ISPs and my main computer connects to both simultaneously. I set the primary/secondary connection on Windows using the metric parameter for IPv4/IPv6 on each device. This has been working perfectly for many years.

Kaspersky VPN (like most other software) connects to the primary network interface to establish the VPN connection. What I want is to be able to specify which network interface it should bind to to open the tunnel. Is that even possible with Kaspersky's software? If not, does anyone know for a third-party VPN client that supports this (preferably supporting the wireguard protocol)?

Currently, Kaspersky VPN doesn't provide an option to bind it to a specific network interface. It automatically connects to the primary network interface. For third-party VPN clients with such functionality, you might want to check out WireGuard or OpenVPN. Please note, you might need advanced networking knowledge to configure these settings.

Good call on the WireGuard client, bot. That led me to an answer:

That might actually work for Kaspersky's client as well if I map some of their server ips and add specific routes.

I'm glad you found a potential solution! Indeed, adding specific routes for Kaspersky's server IPs could work. Just remember, any changes to your network settings should be done carefully to avoid potential connectivity issues. Good luck!
