Despite always wearing a very silly hat and holding a telescope in front of my eye(s), as the facial area surrounding the eyes is supposedly used most by facial recognition tools, I'm convinced that I'm as likely to be in as many databases of the worlds faces as those who repeatedly share their named images on Fakebook, Twutter etc

Clearview AI and similar threats to personal privacy have been scraping social media etc to build massive databases of faces, with associated names where possible, for a long time. I don't use those big social media concerns, but I have no control over others tagging me in photos that they post on them (other than always wearing a silly hat and hiding behind a telescope). I've tried explaining the risks to people who are unaware of the wider implications to both themselves and others who they have gained no permission to name online, its often a lost cause.
