Doesn't your system support UEFI? Then you can use GPT for your drives.

Also I wouldn't use such deep system modification nor stuff from Cisco generally

Nothing wrong with many tools from Cisco especially Snort, but MBR Filter is a bit outdated by now and previous tested here on MT by Opcode where it failed self protection.

I would definitely have a second back up solution along side Google Drive, two backups are better than 1.

Best is following the "3-2-1" backup rule:

3 backups in total - 2 on (different) storage medium/ devices - while 1 offsite (not at home, e.g. cloud) backup
