...been using this software for a long time (Mediamonkey 4.X) to manage my audio collection/audio tracks on my NAS. I guess i will upgrade soon to version 5.x

I've got v5 installed already and used v4 prior to avoid using iTunes but tend to use Sony's Media Go more (discontinued but still better than replacement Music Centre) as I use a Sony MP3 player rather than an iPod or iPhone...

few days ago i also swiched to version 5.X of MediaMonkey. Been using Mediamonkey 4 since 2015 so I could save some bucks (discount for "Media Monkey 4 Gold" users: 40% off).
Upgrading to version 5.x was very comfortable: the installer automatically imported all settings and the data base from Mediamonkey 4.0.

MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.0.0.3082

We're happy to announce the release of MediaMonkey for Windows 2024! It's a massive update that adds over 500 fixes and improvements! New features include Playback speed/pitch control, support for CUE sheets, support for WebP images, new sync options (artwork resizing, force resync), gapless playback and leveling for casting, data export for integration with Traktor DJ, support for iOS 18, improved Search, Shuffling, Skinning, backup & restore, and much more. Here's a complete list of changes. It's a strongly recommended update!

Note: MediaMonkey for Android 2.0.2 was also recently released on the Google Play Store. It includes numerous sync improvements that further improve MMW <--> MMA synchronization.

How well does MediaMonkey handle various video file formats and their display?

Hope this version syncs better between windows <-> Android because v5 was pretty bad in my experience.. in the end I just gave up on it.

We're happy to announce the release of MediaMonkey 2024.2! It is a major update to 2024.1 that includes over 150 fixes and improvements. It adds support for synchronization to the latest version of iOS, new languages (Turkish, Hebrew), shared column settings across a Collection, finer pitch control, casting and playback improvements, along with numerous usability and stability fixes.
