Microsoft today added Call of Duty 2 to the list of Xbox 360 games that are backward compatible with the Xbox One. It will be the second Call of Duty title on the list, after Black Ops was added back in May.

The company has been slowing down a bit as of late in adding new games to the list. Last week, the only new addition was Bomberman Battlefest. The week before was only Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Shank 2.

Prior to that, Microsoft would normally add multiple Xbox 360 games to the list every week. Still, titles like Call of Duty 2 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon are big names, so it's entirely possible that the company doesn't want them to share the spotlight. It appeared that the firm was slowing down when Red Dead Redemption was added as well, but that turned out to be untrue.

You can begin playing Call of Duty 2 on your Xbox One right now, if you grab it from the Xbox Store for $19.99 (or if you already own it on the Xbox 360, of course). Remember, you also have time to snag this month's Games with Gold, which include Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate (Xbox One), WWE 2K16 (Xbox One), and Beyond Good & Evil HD (Xbox 360).
