Actually, the idea is grounded in scientific fact - of how the human memory works and what it prefers. Human memory is much more efficient at recalling images than character strings. Microsoft's intent was to make browser history work in a way that would be much more effective for most users to recall. Conspiracy theory. Users have accused Linux and Unix projects of conspiracies too. Microsoft derives no benefit from forcing the Recall feature onto everyone. There have been false claims and wild speculations that Microsoft intends to harvest data captured by Recall and sell it (monetize it). Others speculate that it is government intelligence and security agency minions behind the Recall feature and pulling the strings with Microsoft as a willing collaborator against populations. It just ain't true but it sure is typical stupid human behavior on the internet. Next thing the Democrats will accuse the Pro-Russian RepubliKKKans of being behind Recall to assist Putin while kicking the homeless in the teeth. The QAnon MAGAs will accuse the baby & toddler-snatching Democrats of intending to use Recall to track their political enemies. Nobody is getting it. Microsoft and the Recall puppet masters have fooled everyone. Cohagen and Hauser are behind the entire Recall effort. People actually believe this stuff. It is so entertaining. It also shows how profoundly broken the human species is.
