Hmmm all this because CrowdStrike borked a Windows module update? Sounds like overreach and over reaction to me for something that doesn't happen often.

And no way will MS leave MD with kernel access, the anti-trust law suits would flow like a torrent. I'm sure their lawyers have told them this already.

And Apple is different, they own the hardware stack to the software stack. MS only owns the software stack. They are not comparable.

Good. Following Apple's example which has officially kicked everything out of the kernel last year. The policy began years before but people could still override on Intel CPUs. It is one of the main reasons why it's much safer than Windows.

Finally something good from Microsoft, now they will bring back there own responsabilities, and third party security solution, will be analysed more deeper, great choice
