Thats not what I said. i don't want to use windows 10 at all just keep the licence
take clean TEMPORARY hard disk
install win 7
upgrade to win 10
remove the temp hard disk and returned my old one with 7
disable auto update

There is a very popular guide for that kind of problems faced using NTlite to make a custom upgraded disk here.Windows 7 is still a mature and popular product which only needs security patches now and then and at least for me, doesnt bug me with time-consuming patches, workarounds or builds.

all my pc's are old timers, XP in the office not connected to web, one w7 for video editing, another w7 for mainly video downloads, and another awaiting its new hard drive am installing ubuntu on that, the oldest is 15years old the newist about 7 years old, so as you can see im not fond of change for changes sake.

As well all know, that's how Microsoft revolved the product cycle sometimes they need to pursue important priorities and we should accept that those good memories will be remain treasured for us but for them its a move on step towards latest technology; Windows 7 still a long way to end the overall support but of course the time and effort need to be reduce from them so even though we can provide complain or suggestion however usually the decision made by them are resulted to final.

Let's hope Windows 10 for possible outcome despite of problems.

Dell is known for businesses computers it has 3 licences 7 8 and 10 so the big businesses will not run to win 10.
