Microsoft fell victim to hackers for the third time in a month, after attackers defaced the newly redesigned Office blog.

The group known as the Syrian Electronic Army posted several articles on the Microsoft Office site, including one titled "hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army".

The group crowed that it had managed to hack into the blog's CMS despite Microsoft's best efforts - and suggested it had access to employee login details.

"Dear @Microsoft, changing the CMS will not help you if your employees are hacked and they don't know about that," the group wrote on Twitter.

This is the third time this month the group has managed to hijack Microsoft's social media accounts. Last week, it managed to take over Microsoft's official blog and two Twitter accounts. Earlier in the month, the group targeted Skype's social media accounts.

More seriously, Microsoft admitted the Syrian Electronic Army had managed to access employee email accounts through a phishing attack.

The company has yet to comment on the latest attack, but has previously said no user data has been compromised by the hacks.

Microsoft's woes won't be over any time soon, judging by the group's recent threats to continue targeting the company.

The Syrian Electronic Army was itself hacked earlier this month by Turkish rivals, who gained access to the group's site and posted messages critical of their methods.
