If MSE has integrate the SmartScreen Feature likely it does better on performance, they need to improve the engine to catch up from the latest threats.

Last time I tested MSE it was quite fast a removing the threats that it detected but was not the best at detecting them. They should of improved that in the update.

You are right but MS thinks that every MSE user is also an IE user. That's why they are not integrating it.

MSE is not so great at detections but False Psitives are amazingly low. I can bet if you have Outpost Pro or you are going to useComodo MSE would be the best choice.
