“Windows 8 is the best opportunity for software development today,” Ballmer explained. “Hundreds of millions of people are aching to use your apps, just dying to use your application.”
While analysts expect the PC market to continue its decline, Ballmer thinks that Windows 8 is going to support the recovery of this particular industry segment. 400 million PCs powered by Windows 8 are likely to hit the market in 2013, Ballmer said, once again pointing out that Microsoft’s new OS can do whatever the user needs.
