In this report, we aim to help readers evaluate both the built-in security measures of Android and various third-party mobile security apps. Our report covers results from malware protection and battery consumption tests, along with reviews assessing the functionality, app design, and overall usability of each security solution. While some of the tested apps may offer additional features such as an app manager, network monitor, or system optimizer, our primary focus is on security aspects, including anti-malware, anti-theft, web protection, and privacy protection.

Thanks Gandalf,I recently have been using Microsoft Defender,on my Android as its included with Microsoft 360,not on this AV comparatives list, wondering if you have tried and thoughts? Thanks
I really liked Microsoft Defender on Android, but the lack of testing made me unsure.
Hope some organisation will test it.
Currently just using the built-in powered by McAfee protection of my Samsung phone.

Samsung phones have high security overall, malicious websites are blocked in Chrome (or other browser), malware is removed by McAfee (built-in), scam calls are blocked by Hiya which is built-in as well.

I wouldn’t install a third-party app on Samsung.
