For me nothing but a Pixel phone , my 8a has 7 years support and guaranteed updates until 2031, i personally do not like changing phones every 1 or 2 years. So this is the perfect phone for me. So i completely know how you feel.
Its nice 8 gets 7 years, pixel 6a only gets 5 years, but thats enough for me since im gonna replace my phone in 3 years anyways.

What i have used my sisters iphone 14 and my moms samsung a54
This 300 usd pixel 6a has as good camera as that iphone and its alot faster cpu/memory wise than samsung a54 that crawls

Definitely next phone i buy is pixel in 3 years, except if nokia gets anything decent out for decent price , but doubt it

8a will be by next phone later this year, for the same reasons and the positive reviews.

Have the pixel 6 myself " my second pixel as I had the 3a few years back, and have had many other brands, came back to pixel as it's just perfect for my needs and wants of a phone.

I actually traded my Samsung S21 ultra to get the pixel 6, no regrets.

Pixel system update updated to september patch.

After uninstalling adguard, replacing it with brave + zonealarm theres huge difference in battery usage, no more battery draining. (y) :)
I have a Pixel 8 with Adguard, I never noticed a slowdown in battery usage but never really paid much attention to it, I will now. Basically I bought a cheap lifetime license to block ads, was using Blokada previously.Zonealarm is an AV, what are you using to block ads now?

Brave browser works fine, but zonealarm is kinda heavy on my desktop even i have high end rig, maybe i refund my 15 euros and revert back to microsoft defender wich has no problems running anything on desktop

On android microsoft launcher used alot of battery but when i removed adguard it randomly stopped draining battery so im not sure may those apps conflict together?

If i decide to remove zonealarm i either move on android to firefox + ublock origin or keep brave. Firefox feels better move, but i have to install beta to configure about:config....

On one of my mobile devices I experience the same issue with ADguard. I am still trying to find what cause the issue. I used ADguard for 5 years and never had an issue on a mobile device until now.

Doesn't AdGuard only support Chrome on Android?

Have you tried Vivaldi? Its ad blocker works well; just add your filters to it.

ControlD Free DNS ad blocking/tracking is effective too.
I have tried chrome, edge, firefox, waterfox, vivaldi and adguard does work well with all them. Opera is the one that did not work.

I have tried vivaldi and i like the customization options, but adblocker is lacking still.

I have nextdns subscription for a year, but i dont use it anymore as i did not like it, i also have adguard dns for 5 years and i dont use that either

I think adguard is a must on desktop/android, it blocks ads too well and i have used it for years with success and theyre improving all the time

Thanks for suggestions!

Do you mean AdGuard for Android works with these browsers for you? It didn't work for me when I tried it with Firefox and Vivaldi. I'm talking about AdGuard filters and not its DNS protection module.

What do you mean by "Vivaldi's ad blocker is still lacking"? Did you test it with at least filters equivalent to uBlock Origin?
Default filters (disabling Vivaldi's partner), English (Peter Lowe's List), Remove annoyances (Fanboy's Annoyance List), and Remove cookie warnings (Easlylist Cookie List).

Im talking about the adguard app you download outside of playstore. It works with most browsers as i said, opera had problem with it i cant remember where it was related to.

About vivaldis build in blocker, it doesnt block pop-ups and dont work as script blocker aswell, also i can block webrtc + etags and most of tracking stuff with it

I could not live without adguard and use default ublock origin, or even browsers with the built in adblock except brave wich have decent adblock, but still adguard is better in my opinion:unsure:

Yes, I meant AdGuard Premium for Android from their website. It blocked ads with the default Chrome only for me and not with other browsers.

weird, did you restarted the app / updated filters or rebooted device? Sometimes when you install browser after installing adguard it doesnt work properly and you have to do these steps

Yes, I had tried everything, but it didn't work. I couldn't find the supported browsers info on the AdGuard website or help files, but I had read somewhere it supports only the default browser on Android and iPad. I have AdGuard Premium on the iPad, and it works with Safari only. I'll recheck if it works with other browsers when I try it again on Android.

Should I add any third-party filters in AdGuard for more effective ad blocking in apps? Do you have any third-party traditional and DNS filter suggestions?
