MorganaRue and I am really new to this

I am new to the community and new to fixing my own PC problems. Mainly I am here because my daughter is an online gamer and she seems to be getting constantly infected with malware/adware and the like. I am hoping to save her from destroying her computer.

She has a Toshiba Satellite and runs Windows 8 on a 64-bit system. (Did I do that right?) Right now we both have McAfee but I am being told by many that it's one of the worst. So I am trying to figure out which antivirus program would be the best for us. We also use Malwarebytes premium and adwcleaner. I tried to download zoek once but McAfee deemed it a trojan and wouldn't let it download. I don't know if I downloaded a bad file or what.

Anyway, that's why I am here.

As far as AV programs that depends if you want paid or free.If you are not happy with McAfee then I would suggest Avast free for the time being until you decide
