Mozilla Testing File Sharing, Voice Search, and Notes Experimental Features

Mozilla engineers have launched three experimental features today named Send, Voice Fill, and Notes.

All three are part of Test Pilot, a Mozilla program that allows users to test experimental features by installing a special add-on. The Test Pilot add-on lets users select which of the Firefox features they want to test. Features that receive positive reviews will be embedded in the Firefox core.

Besides the three features announced today, the Test Pilot program also includes other experimental features named Containers, SnoozeTabs, Pulse, Min Vid, Page Shot, Activity Stream, and Tab Center.

They have some good ideas in their test pilot, also some that are already removed from it. Just sad they almost never implement them in their stable browser.

bad news. i liked mozilla without the bells & whistles.

Couldn't agree more. I was 100% Firefox when they had a great, if a bit sluggish browser, customizable to the moon with a gazillion of intricate addons to boot.

Nowadays they try to imitate others, which has them always one step behind except for meaningless gimmicks nobody asked for in the first place. It's as if they were going sideways instead of forward, going the way of the dodo with both eyes open. I really don't know wether to laugh or to cry sometimes.
