I would put a scanner on demand , for example malwarebytes free, Ccleaner, PrivaZer and Wot and Ghostery extensions.

Our friend @tonibalas will recommend you an second browser and @Cats-4_Owners-2 will recomended you Sandboxie. They are right.

Seamonkey is fine browser but you can go to other Gecko engine like Cyberfox or Waterfox for faster performance.

Or try Chromium based Blink engine from Google Chrome or Opera, well its your choice.
