New Norton Product Coming Soon: WiFi Privacy

The New Year is well and truly underway and we’re excited to reveal that Norton have announced the launch of a brand new product for 2017: WiFi Privacy.

Due later this month, Norton WiFi Privacy offers you online privacy and anonymity via a VPN (virtual private network). This says Norton, means you’ll be able to pay bills and check your email using public Wi-Fi without worrying about hackers and identity thieves stealing your private: turning any public hotspot into a secure VPN.



Other features will include:

• Bank-grade encryption to protect you on public Wi-Fi hotspots
• Lets you browse the Web anonymously so your privacy is protected.
• Allows access to your favourite apps and content anywhere you go, as if you were at home.
• Encrypts your data on a no-log virtual private network that doesn’t track or store your activity.

@bunchuu I stick with Avira Phantom for Android, since Windscribe continuously have delayed their new VPN for Android.

It is quite expensive for a VPN $30 dollars a month. The program works exactly as advertised, but it doesn’t do anything you couldn’t do almost as easily for free.

On the same boat with many windscribe users, waiting for the Android App, unable to connect with StrongSwan!

Now that's more like it. But still it's a crowded market. Not sure what they offer that others don't.

It sure is a crowded market and many AV vendors are jumping on the VPN wagon. Opera with their build in VPN, Kaspersky, etc..

Wonder how this Wifi Privacy will do when others enter the market, I kinda see this as a way of Norton is marketing their name and profolio on businesses.
