The Chinese Academy of Sciences has unveiled a new high-performance processor chip and a new operating system, based on the popular open-source chip design standard known as RISC-V.

I was selling RISC chips in the early '80's, no one was interested.

Then, along came Apple with ARM and "BAM", everyone wants them...

This article sounds great, but whose going to fab them and with which tech?

I can see these being very popular with students, but...
