I downloaded Nirlauncher from Majorgeeks. But Zemana said that it was a dangerous file. Is this just a false positive?

It's not only Zemana, a lot of antivirus engines detected this file as PUP/HackTool - Antivirus scan for 82a0ad9c956fe4a8fe8402c1c1805711c7076b45513534d893dbbc1f96d5a22c at 2016-04-05 04:27:29 UTC - VirusTotal

ESET also gave me a lot of warnings when trying to download and unzip this program.

This download seems to have some utilities that are seen as hacking tools (more specifically those password recovery tools), it's not uncommon for antiviruses to flag this type of programs as malware.
Also if you look at the download disclaimer you will see this message:

Known Issues
False Positive: many programs of this type - especially those that search for passwords and other hidden system information - may be detected by your antivirus package as potentially dangerous. Usually, they will report as something like "gen.troj.xx". As always if you have any doubts on a file, don't run it. However, in this case, it would be great to help out and report a false positive to your antivirus company.
