A strange attempt protecting files against ransomware...
Files get encrypted when "Locker" is open, and will if ransomware authors figure out many people use that software, it will simply target Nord extensions, too.
At least the software looks neat, but not even the first to offer folder encryption (there are free variants, too, like VeraCrypt).

I think this mainly depend on the extension which the ransomware variant are programmed to encrypt
anybody here try to run same test with another encryption software such as keepass password manager or veracrypt and see if the encrypted files will be encrypted or not ??
i think if extension is added by malware coder it would be encrypted unless it some how hidden by the encryption software   ??
like security such as protected folder in Bitdefender total security or kaspersky total security utilizing its vault feature
