Norton 360 Standard v24 (Avast Engine)

(and Bloatware, Norton has already suggested a few times that I switch to Norton Ultimate....)</p><p>Nonetheless, the interface is still visually stunning, and Norton is no slouch when it comes to configuration!</p><p>Power consumption is about average, even if Norton multiplies memory processes...</p><p></p><p><span style="color: rgb(97, 189, 109)">Web protection: 9/9</span></p><p>Norton has blocked all malicious URLs. Since it features Avast Web filtering, its browser extension becomes obsolete.</p><p></p><p><span style="color: rgb(97, 189, 109)">Fake crack : 1/1</span></p><p>Norton blocks and quarantines files with CyberCapture (or Download Intelligence)</p><p></p><p><span style="color: rgb(97, 189, 109)">Malware Pack : Remaining 17 files out of 187.</span></p><p>Norton detects and deletes the detected files, which considerably extends the analysis time.</p><p>One thing that surprised me: what happened to SONAR and Norton's intrusion prevention? !!!! I suspect the publisher has removed it.</p><p>Unfortunately, Avast/Norton is very average when it comes to protecting against unknown threats. Even though it has managed to block attacks with Avast IDS and prevent a stealer from reading passwords in Edge, infections are still present, such as NetSupport, which has not been blocked.</p><p>Norton has certainly been redesigned, but the paintwork is too fresh...</p><p></p><p>Final scan : </p><p>Norton : 0</p><p>Malwarebytes : 9</p><p>NPE : 0</p><p>KVRT : 2</p><p></p><p>Final opinion:</p><p></p><p>Norton presents itself as an Avast clone, offering a number of Norton functions that are not exploited/used.</p><p>It's a shame, because although Norton is starting from scratch by proposing a major change in the product, it doesn't bring any change at all!</p><p>For me, the software's paintwork is still too fresh, especially as Norton has removed some of the product's essential shields...</p><p>Disappointing.</p><p></p><p>[USER=97936]@nickstar1[/USER] request</p></blockquote><p></p>
