Hey there, I am writing this on my own computer. My husband's computer has the problem I listed in the title thread. He has a few games loaded as well been without antivirus protection earlier this year. I believe he went about 4 months or so without. He says about 2 weeks ago he noticed these pop ups from Norton. Also no windows updates have been installed since 9/1/14 and we spent the after noon doing that. It took nearly 4 hours for 22 updates to install. Needless to say, everytime this Norton notice pops up I'm indeed suspicious. The computer is terribly slow and to just get the system req's to come up takes almost 2 mins. Could this be shoddy Norton protection? Is he infected? I noticed a few other posters here have had the same problem. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks Elizabeth PS. There's a couple beers in your future for your assistance :)
