Hello :)

@NoVirusThanks is an Italian company offering to strengthen your computer's security with software capable of blocking malware attacks.
This program is by no means an anti-malware program, but can be used to support a security product such as CyberLock.

The interface has changed a lot, and I like the modern look!
NVT also offers modes. We'll be doing 2 tests, default and advanced mode.

Default: On the Web, it's very mixed... OSArmor wins half the points, as a few infections have been passed on.
On the pack, nothing to say except a few. The PC is infected, but can be cleaned easily.

Advanced: Whether on the Web or in the pack, OSArmor blocked everything! It worked like an anti-EXE software.

OSArmor is a good alternative for boosting your computer's security, and comes highly recommended.

fwiw, I never thought of OSArmor as a sidekick to Voodooshield / CyberLock, I thought run OSArmor OR CL. I have not run OSA in many years as I favor CL. I can run CL at default and be (feel) protected while IIRC OSA had a lot of switches to enable / disable and then how to mesh the 2 apps together. I am sure you are correct, I just never thought of OSA that way. Seems like you'd need a deep(er) understanding of both to get all the switches optimally set without any issues.

Hi Shadowra, interesting would you elaborate on this Thanks for the test!

Above all, it can block the launch of malware or exploits and help an av that contains only a database or a cloud (like Panda or MS Defender).

@Shadowra, sorry I misread your above post earlier, I see that it can be understood with my first understanding and also the way you confirmed you meant it. (my )
(your English is very much better than my French )

My licence is up for renewal in a couple of weeks, I've used Armor for over two years and it's mainly if not always been Fps its baulked at - I'm running Trend Max security on this PC - Do members think its worth me keeping Armor? I don't mind paying for renewal though?

Same question with ZoneAlarmNG.
I don't really get your point: I did have issues with Armor & Zone which was probably the first time on here I've even mentioned Armor & this was sorted by removing Armor by my own decision & later also recommended by Trident - I now no longer use Zone & Trend is a very different program to Zone: My question is, which has nothing to do with any issuers with Trend - Fps are a part of life & if there are clear advantages to using Armor I will live with them. I've used Armor since it was free - Frankly if you are unable to come up with a constructive answer don't bother other than some cryptic comment, do you use Armor yourself?

I agree as with Zone, its best on it's own - I don't have conflicts with Trend & Armor, the Fps are caused by Armor itself. I was just wondering if other users of Armor feel its worth having it as a secondary solution with a AV such as Trend for example? I'm beginning to wish I had never asked? 🤣

I used Armor a long time ago, but ended up preferring Voodooshield/Cyberlock, and never looked back. I have nothing bad to say about NVT or Armor.

I suppose when we often ask a question we probably know the answer - I think I'm beginning to feel Armor is more trouble than its worth, probably wont renew unless I have a change of heart :)

I was using OsArmor with Trend Micro, other than the inevitable OsArmor related false positives, everything was fine. Since I switched to ZoneAlarmNG, I had uninstalled OsArmor. My question is: Does it make sense for me to reinstall OsArmor now that I am sticking with ZoneAlarmNG. Also, apparently they don't get along so well with each other.

From what I've read elsewhere & from Trident on here who I personally trust, Zone don't need programs such as Armor & I found things were much better as regards Zone with Armor off - Zone really is that good.

Edit: I owe vonvon an apology as regards my reply earlier in the thread, I did not realise it was a genuine question, sorry about that!
