It’s been nearly 18 months since Nvidia unveiled its last-generation Maxwell architecture, and the PC enthusiast community has been chomping at the bit to see what benefits 14/16nm technology would deliver. Both Nvidia and AMD are planning new launches for the 14nm node, but Nvidia is launching first with both a new GPU and new technologies wrapped around it — some of which have been backported to previous cards.

I doubt that it will be faster for anything than VR, for regular gaming I think the Titan X will still prove to be a strong card, we will see that when the reviews start rolling in.
On the other side it will be interesting to see if the VR performance boost also works for 3DVision, it should be possible to render the two passes in one pass for that technology as well.
