2. click Control Panel,
3. click System.
4. Under System, you can view the system type: 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) will show

I am running it right now on Windows 7 64-bit just to check it out since I have never used it before and O&O Defrag is a good program.

I don think it is Win 8 compatible as least its not listed as such in the System Requirements.I have noticed some improvement in speed but not a "enormous boost possible" or "up to twice its speed" as stated by O&O.That is just my system,If your interested try it out.

Easy Installation and I have not had any problems running it and have noticed no conflicts with other software on my system.

The settings for the program are regulated automatically.You have to create a profile if you want to change the settings.I tested it on default settings and seemed to do what it claimed to do.If you are comfortable with playing around with the settings then create another profile and change the settings to see if it makes a difference.

Update - I tried this on Windows 8.1, at first it seemed like it worked with no problems whatsoever, but after a few hours of using it I have noticed quirks that started happening with the operating system. So apparently this is not compatible with Windows 8.1 as I first thought.
