It seems like you're promoting the OfficeSuite pack. Please remember that while sharing information is appreciated, direct advertising is not allowed on this forum. Let's focus on helping each other with questions and problems related to office, email, and business apps.

Should there ever be a non-Microsoft productivity suite that is 100% compatible with Office docs, then I will switch. WPS was very close, but even it was only 98% compatible with Excel formatting and features. Then Kingsoft changed the GUI and added a ridiculous "central doc dashboard for all WPS docs" that was a monstrosity. Dropped.

I use Softmaker Free Office that does a reasonable job - I have a license for 365 that my other half & other family members use but I actually like Free Office - If need be I can install 365 as needed.

There is nothing out there that even comes close. If you use advanced Word or Excel capabilities just forget. The open source alternatives are good for simple uses, and yes I know people have written books using open source alternatives and believe, that's a simple use.

That is certainly true esp if you are using it for work/office use, MS Office rules, with me those days are now gone as retired but I do set PC's/Macs up for a couple of family members that need MS Office for work & it's complexity increases with time :)

Another reason I continue to use MS Office is that my mail, contacts and calendar are all in Outlook, and can't find an alternative that would work with my existing .pst file.
