Yeah, I don't want to mess with my phone. I'd rather install GOS, but there are tradeoffs there as well. 🙄
If you're not an expert in the field, I personally wouldn't do it. There's a real chance you could brick your phone. I'd either let professional do it, or just leave the stock ROM.

Using ADB is much safer and you can't mess up anything. You don't even have to use PC to do it, you can do the same with Shizuku and Canta, both are available on Google Play for free.
 
I disabled Google Play Store running in the background. It's a resource hog.

Actually, installing GOS is fairly indiot-proof when using the web installer via a compatible browser.

If i managed to install it without any problems i would say its worry free install. Its fairly simple to switch back to pixelOS aswell. Probably both things take around 5 minutes to do...
