Opera has the current development version 38 extends the same browser to a free VPN client without a limitation in monthly data volume. In a first test the switching on and off works fine for all applications but is not enough, the current bandwidth.

To unlock the new function, this must be activated in the browser settings under security and privacy. The service is based on a service of Opera subsidiary Surf Easy whose separate offer as many of the competitors in the market so far was chargeable . , Users do not need to sign up for the integrated service.

If the VPN feature enabled, can use the service with a click in the address bar at any time on and off. There you will also consumed in the current month data volume, for it however is no restriction. For users in Germany currently three virtual locations can be selected: Germany, Canada and the USA.

Great new feature in this privacy-needed days, but I expected something else, like tab-stacking instead of this. And about the Qihoo-deal, I think with a VPN built-in, Opera is less attractive to Chinese buyers (because the Great Firewall for example).
