I just did my first scan. It told me to do this from the announcements part.
I finished it and started the second scan also from the same page but the dog run past and pulled the cord out and the download for the 2nd one stopped. Now I can't find the page. It is the page that tells you to run these scans before posting first post on what has happened to my computer. Can someone point me in the right direction please. It isn't in the above categories. thanks

Hi and welcome to MalwareTips! :)

I'm Fiery and I would gladly assist you in removing the malware on your computer.

PLEASE NOTE: The first 3 posts of ALL new members require approval by mods/admins. Please be patient if you don't see your post immediately after submitting it.

Before we start:
  • Note that the removal process is not immediate. Depending on the severity of your infection, it could take a long time.
  • Malware removal can be dangerous. I cannot guarantee the safety of your system as malware can be unpredictable. It is possible that we might encounter situations where the only recourse is to re-format and re-install your operating system. Therefore, I would advise you to backup all your important files before we start.
  • Please be patient and stay with me until I give you the green lights and inform you that your PC is clean.
  • Some tools may be flagged by your antivirus as harmful. Rest assure that ALL the tools we use are safe, the detections are false positives.
  • The absence of symptoms does not mean your PC is fully disinfected.
  • If you are unclear about the instructions, please stop and ask. Following the steps in the order that I post them in is vital.
  • Lastly, if you have requested help on other sites, that will delay and hinder the removal process. Please only stick to one site.

<hr>
What operating system are you using? and is it 32 or 64 bit?

Hi Fiery
I have run the OTL thing and the other one as suggested mw something and I have saved them as directed. I have not yet attached them as I was unsure where to put them being a first time user I am very distressed trying to work my way around these things as I am not brilliant at the ins and outs of computers. I am trying to remove the snap.do toolbar that I inadvertently downloaded the other day. I found on youtube how to do it and it worked fine but then yesterday it popped up again but only here and there and since then my facebook doesn't work properly and I notice google has in green https:// you know the secure site but it is mucking up my facebook and I don't know if it is a coincidence or not. If you could reply to this and tell me where / what forum I post the screenshots etc and scans I did last night I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks mate.
