To get Patch B beta, You have to switch to beta server, as explained in the thread, but I guess is still in development, so I do not recommend for "production systems"... also updates are not so frequently while in beta...

They don't want to back to the past when We can select some modules to not install, many complaints and suggestions about it but They say You can simply disable the modules You don't want to use.

Should server setting be retained as test server or swapped back to public server ?

Since the beta testing of Patch B started today, probably (as usual) They will update the patch and probably the fixes regularly, so if You really want to test Patch B You should stay with Patch B beta server, but as I said, not for production systems, and updating signatures are not so frequent than standard severs...
