My laptop which I had put into sleep mode before I went to bed, woke from sleep to restart and installed the update last night. I just disabled wake timers, so that it doesn't happen again. The following link explains how to do so. https://www.howtogeek.com/444807/will-windows-10-update-if-my-computer-is-in-sleep-mode/ Usually I schedule the restart, to delay it for a week and keep doing so, as I only restart when I need to, rather than just to install updates. While I delay restarting, I've never waited to install updates. I let Windows Update automatically install every update it wants to and that's what I've always done. Some people wait to install updates in case there are bugs, or avoid certain updates because they are causing problems for some people. But, I've never done that. It has been my experience over many years, that it is exceptionally rare for updates to cause issues. That's not the case for everyone, but it is for me.
